A selection of 18 poems are edited from this manuscript in Jill Seal Millman and Gillian Wright, Early Modern Women's Manuscript Poetry, Manchester, Manchester University Press, 2005, pp. 128-152.

There are two contemporary print editions of Philips's works: the unauthorised edition of 1664, Katherine Philips, , Poems by the incomparable, Mrs K. P., London, Richard Marriott, 1664; and the authorised, posthumous edition of 1667, Katherine Philips, , POEMS By the most deservedly Admired Mrs Katherine Philips The Matchless ORINDA, London, Henry Herringman, 1667. This edition was reprinted in 1669, 1678, and in octavo in 1710. Her play, Pompey, was published twice in her lifetime: first in a quarto in Dublin by John Crooke in March 1663, then again by Crooke in London in July 1663. Her letters were first published as Letters from Orinda to Poliarchus, London, 1705.

There are four further instances of Philips's poems appearing in print in her lifetime. 'In Memory of Mr Cartwright' (item 77) was printed as the first of the commendatory poems to William Cartwright, , Comedies, Tragi-comedies, with other Poems, London, Humphrey Moseley, 1651. 'To the truly noble Mr Henry Lawes' (item 93) and 'Friendship's mystery set by Mr Lawes' (item 60) are printed in Henry Lawes, , The Second Book of Ayres, and Dialogues, for One, Two, and Three Voyces, London, 1655 , sigs. b1r and H1r, respectively. 'To the Queen's Majesty At her arrival at Portsmouth May 1662' (item 50) was anonymously printed as To the Queens Majesty on her Happy Arrival, London, Henry Herringman, 1662. The present standard edition of Philips's poetry, letters, and translations is Patrick Thomas, Germaine Greer, and Roger Little, , The Collected Works of Katherine Philips: The Matchless Orinda, Stump Cross, Stump Cross Books, 1990-1993, 3 volumes. A new edition is currently being prepared by Elizabeth Hageman and Andrea Sununu. Selections from Philips's work are available in the standard anthologies. Noteworthy among anthologies of early modern women's writings are the selections in Katharina M.
